Shanti von Schwedt is an adorable smaller sized 12 month old Shepherd mix. Shanti maybe a lap sized Shepherd mix, but her personality is outsized. She has been learning much in her short time at the rescue, including progressing with her leash training, walking comfortably and with purpose. But mostly she will take your cues. At home, she looks to be the apple of your eye. She seeks attention and to get up close. She’s playful and engages well with toys, especially if you are having fun too. Around other dogs, Shanti can be headstrong. She’s confident when off leash and isn’t shy about giving a warning when a dog rushes to her. For that reason, it’s best to keep an eye on her interactions with new dogs. Then after a proper introduction and some familiarity, she does settle in nicely in pack walks and when around other dogs that are tolerant to her occasional pushiness. Shanti is a young girl and is looking for a home that can help further her growth and learning.
